Life

Anybody who knows me knows that I've wanted to be a photographer for many years now. I got my first camera when I was in eighth grade and when it broke I got an upgrade. It was still a point and shoot, but just a little bit bigger than that. It was a Kodak though. But my sophomore year was when I really knew that I wanted to be a photographer.
I started taking pictures of everything, basically anything.

Towards the middle of my junior year, I went to a small concert (or show) with a friend of mine. I took some pictures at it and I absolutely loved it. I continued to go to some shows with them until I started to get busy with school and homework and jobs. (Because those things are more important, right?) I've been dying to go to more shows, but I have two jobs where I work almost every weekend. I still really love live shows and I want to move out to California and go on tour with bands as my career.

There's a live photographer that I follow, his name is Adam Elmakias.
He goes on tour with bands like A Day To Remember and goes on Warped Tour as well.
Here are a few pictures from his blog (that I hope to recreate some day):

I love the energy you can get at a concert. And it's amazing on how well the bands are (for whoever you happen to see). Here are a few of my live shots. They're not as good as Adam Elmakias's, but I still think they're good for a high schoolers.

I am proud of what I have achieved in my life so far, but sometimes I don't think it's the right life for me. If I want to be a live photographer, I have to put myself out there and make myself available to go to these shows and shoot live. I made a promise to myself that the next show that's close to where I live, I'm going to. God put me on this planet for a reason, and I think that reason was to be a live photographer. I'm happy with the ones I have and the ones I've shot and I just have to prove to myself that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Okay, rant over.
Now take a few moments and enjoy a few teasers of my cousin's wedding from a  few weeks ago!

Kayla's amazing and you should all go check out her blog!

Happy Friday everyone!  Celebrate fall today, it's beautiful out!
