I met Annemarie, aka Amm, a very long time ago. Our brothers grew up playing soccer together and our family's were very close. I was blessed with the opportunity to take Amm's senior photos last summer. To take photos of the people you grew up with is a very big blessing and I loved every minute of taking and editing these photos.

 

 

 

Carrie | Senior (Full Post)

Hello friends, long time no see really. Like always, school has taken over me and my life and senior year is kicking my butt. But I am back (for good) and I am typing to finish my senior sessions from not summer of '16, but from summer of '15!

Today's post is about my best friend's sister, Carrie. She's a great girl and I have gotten to know her on such a wonderful level. She is fun loving, caring and super outgoing. I think that these pictures that I picked definitely describe her personality and show her inner and outer beauty.

Megan | Senior (Full Post)

I've known Megan for a long time now and she's become a sister that I've never had. Not only is she pretty, or that she has the bluest eyes you've ever seen, but she is an amazing singer and she basically leads the school musicals at Union County. She's a bright light in everyone's life and I can't wait to see where she goes after high school.

Megan was such a trooper during her senior pictures! Not only did she have me to drag her around, but she brought her mom and three of her best friends. Yes, she basically had her own entourage for the day, but having all those people there made the time go smoothly.

Young Life '15 : Windy Gap

Hey y'all! (Our cabinmates were from Texas and they used "y'all" a lot so I'm just going to keep throwing it around like I've been saying it all my life) But anyways... I woke up this morning, sleep deprived in the best way possible, and really missing some good hearts. That's what Young Life does to you. You make some insanely incredible friendships with people from all over the world for a week, and then after that amazing week is up, you head back to your hometowns. It's sad but a blessing at the same time. You make connections with people through Jesus and it's just so amazing. I can't even fathom on how amazing and incredible it is.

This year, I had the opportunity to lead at Young Life. Emily and I both led for Union County since we both went to a Young Life camp in high school (Timberwolf). It was a completely different experience being a leader than it was being a camper and honestly I liked being a leader more. I like knowing what's going on and what's going to happen later in the day.  Campers don't know what's going to happen or what they're doing the entire week, and our girls that we led were such troopers when they didn't know what was going to happen throughout the week.

Emily and I had an amazing experience since we both knew all the girls that we were going to lead this past week. We all go to the same church and we all grew up together. I was hesitant about being a leader in the beginning because I was nervous about getting to know the girls and opening up to them about my relationship with Jesus. Young Life is almost a give and take camp. You have to give yourself to Jesus during the week and take away the memory of Him. Throughout the week, I opened up more of my relationship with Him and my struggles to my girls. By the end of the week, we were all so moved by everything that the speaker, Steve, talked about and what happened during Club, we were all sobbing.

For Young Life, we were invited by Talawanda High School, which is where I graduated from. Since Union County didn't have a boy leader, we combined our boys with Talawanda's boys and as the week went on, their relationship with one another was so incredible. For the girls, Talawanda and Union County had enough girls for two cabins, so Em and I didn't have a chance to really connect with them. But in our cabin, we were put together with some people from Waco, Texas. All of our girls built incredible friendships with them and it was amazing to see how well they got along together and how they would sing together in Club. It was just a blessing to get put together with some incredible girls.
