Glitter

Last summer, my friends and I got together to take the famous glitter photos. It's simple, you put a ton of glitter into your cupped hands and blow out the glitter. It creates a magical photo of different colors while the glitter spills around you. This summer, my friends and I decided to do the same thing because we had a ton of glitter left over from last year. We had a fun time blowing glitter and throwing it in each other's faces! These photos below are some of my favorites and I hope you all enjoy them as much as we enjoyed the glitter!

Thanks Em!

Where I'm headed...

Okay, so I know a couple posts ago, I mentioned that I was really into concert and show photography. Well... I decided to ditch that idea because I came to the realization that my chances of being a show photographer is very slim with being a college student and not very many people are into buying my photos from concerts.

I decided then, that I would take a small break from doing photography to decide on what I want to do more. During my break, I took some pictures of my brothers doing what they love, sports. Having two brothers who play sports all year round make it really easy for me to take pictures of them. I have started to really enjoy sport photography and I never imagined myself getting into it or liking what I see. I finally decided to take THE chance and switched my major and my minors around to aim high towards this goal. So far, it has been a little rocky, but I know there will be clear and clean waves coming my way soon.

I hope you all enjoy these pictures as much as I have enjoyed taking them! Stop by soon to see where my future and I are headed!

Lindsey+Zac

EVERYBODY, I SHOT MY FIRST WEDDING UNDER BRIANNA NIXON PHOTOGRAPHY!!!
It was so extremely awesome having it all to myself and picking out poses that I thought the bride and groom would love. I got to choose my second shooter, and of course I had to pick someone with a close eye to me since the bride liked the pictures that I had taken at my cousin's wedding. So after debating back and forth, I had chose Gabi. She did such a great job with handling things and listening to me and coming up with her own ways, I think that I'll keep her as my second shooter. After all, she did help me with Casey's. And she did such a great job with that too! So I know I have been waiting to post this so I could have as many pictures possible on here, but I can't wait any longer! (Oh and I shot this wedding at the end of August, and yes, I just am now finishing it up... School has taken over my life)

Portfolio Review

Hi all! Recently my life has become consumed with Gossip Girl and I've been watching it nonstop, and of course I have school. With school and two jobs, I am one busy girl!

Friends, I am going to DC to talk to photographers!

I am flying with my mom over my spring break to meet with four extremely talented people.  Here are two of the people I am meeting Daniel and Rachel. I have become obsessed with their work and I am so looking forward to meeting them. I am going to DC to figure out what I am going to do with my life. I know photography is my passion and my soul, but where do I start? Do I get an art degree, a photography degree, or business degree? Where do I need to go to school? Where do I need to live? What city will I move to? What kind of photography does my heart want to do? I hope to get all of my answers when I go next week.

Here are my pictures I put in my portfolio for my meetings next week:
